11/15/2023  -  Special Local Lodge Meeting

Brothers and Sisters,

On Wednesday, November 15, 2023, the Local Lodge 1562 negotiation committee met with Howmet Fastening Systems – Kingston Operations. 

As a result of negotiations on 11/15/2023, the local lodge negotiation committee hereby requests the following:

·        Lodge Members which are currently on strike (those who worked for HFS-Kingston up until November 1, 2023, who were covered by the collective bargaining agreement) are requested to attend the local lodge special meeting, which is detailed below.

o   Where?                   White Eagle Hall

o   What Day?              Thursday, November 16th 2023

o   Time?                      11:00 AM 

·        Local Lodge Members, which are not regular dues paying members, such as retirees, are requested to relieve the lodge membership from the picket line at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 16th 2023, and hold the line until the special meeting is adjourned.

10/30/2023 - ***UPDATE*** Special Meeting and Contract Vote

Brothers and Sisters,

There will be a special meeting at the White Eagle Hall on 10/31/2023. The negotiation committee will present a tentative bargaining agreement, and a vote will be held. 

1st SHIFT:  You are expected to report to White Eagle Hall at 3:30 PM to attend the Special Meeting and Vote. (Midnight Shift)

2nd SHIFT: Will be leaving work at 3:30 PM. Members are to leave work and go directly to the White Eagle Hall. (Day Shift)

3rd SHIFT: Report to White Eagle Hall at 3:30 PM. You will be reporting to work after Special Meeting and Contract Vote at White eagle Hall. (Afternoon Shift) 

Attendance is requested by all Local Lodge 1562 members.

10/13/2023 - Collective Bargaining Agreement - Vote

Brothers and Sisters- regular dues paying members and officers: Join us on Saturday, October 28th from 8am-2:00pm at the White Eagle Hall, for our collective bargaining agreement discussion and vote. Your negotiation committee will be in negotiations with Howmet Fastening Systems, from October 23rd thru October 27th. The committee will present the latest contract, in writing, starting at 8 AM on Saturday. Refreshments will be provided. Formal discussions on the matter will begin promptly at 10AM, with a vote on the Collective Bargaining Agreement to follow afterwards. Attendance is strongly encouraged by all eligible members.

5/11/2023 - Proposal Meeting

Brothers and Sisters, please join us on Saturday, June 17th from 12:00-2:00pm at the White Eagle Hall, for our collective bargaining agreement proposal meeting. Have your voice heard for the upcoming contract discussions! Your opinions matter, and the negotiations committee needs to hear them. You completed the questionnaires, and now its time to use your voice! Lets' discuss the variety of ideas that everyone has put into writing.

4/23/2023 - Collective Bargaining Questionnaires 

Brothers and Sisters, be on the look out for our local lodge CBA survey/questionnaire. The surveys were provided to us by the Grand Lodge, and are anonymous. Have your voice heard for the upcoming contract discussions! Your opinions matter! Surveys will be distributed Monday, April 24 2023 by our Local Lodge President, Tom Robbins! It is of the utmost importance to complete and return the surveys in a timely fashion. Thank you for your cooperation!  We are 1562!

4/13/2023 - Website/Facebook Launch

At the direction of our District 15 business representative, we have launched a facebook page and this website. It is our hopes, that these platforms will serve our membership as a platform for communication and education. At the present moment, there is not much being offered in terms of content, but with time it is our hopes that we will fully serve our union members with easy access to information updates, education, and other resources. If you have any suggestions or ideas for our newly launched website or facebook, please do not hesitate to contact us!  We are 1562.
