Why Union?

• Raise wages and promote equal pay for all workers

• Often provide advance notice of work schedules

• "Far more likely to receive paid leave" (sick time/vacation time)

• More access and participation in employer sponsored retirement plans

• "Far more likely to be covered by employer-provided health insurance"

• Offer greater protection against retaliation in regards to workplace safety and health concern reporting

• "Provide more financial stability and upward mobility, and a lower risk of poverty than non-union workers"
